“Every action of our lives touches on some chord
that will vibrate in eternity.”

~ Edwin Hubbell Chapin

Learning that each and everything we do has a meaning. Even the simple, even the seemingly mundane. Each and everything we do has the power to change the energy around us, touch the soul next to us and inspire both positively and negatively.

Learning that our thoughts are actions. That the streaming of our brains affect not only ourselves but those around us.

I do not think it is necessary that we be totally positive each and every second. I do think it necessary to decide that when we are taken “down” that we choose to learn what we need to from that and move in a direction that not only profits us and our well being but others around us.

June is only eight days in — and yet, the changes in it… the dates .. the actions that have taken place in this and in past June months are all vibrating their eternal chords in my heart.
Lloyd graduated high school this month. Proud moment. Now I have two boys in college. His celebration party is on Father’s Day. We did not realize it when we set the date and made the invites until someone pointed out that it may not be a good day since it is Father’s Day. Another friend approached me and said they thought it was great that it WAS on Father’s Day, reminding me that it should be a day of great celebration.

The boys and I participated in a Warrior Dash. A test of physical ability, skill, perseverance, overcoming both obstacles and fears and past self impressions. Also, a wonderful family experience as all four of my boys and the older boys girlfriends were all present and participating in the day. A way to help others as the money raised in the event all went to charity. In the photo with me is my trainer and friend, Renee. Someone who could have probably finished a good 20 minutes ahead of where she did and instead hung around to be sure I had company and a cheerleader along the way.

Since it has been a bit nicer outside the little boys have been extra active. Sometimes I would like to just say “not right now” or “what ARE you doin’?!” and then a box on the porch becomes a wonderland instead of a piece of trash reminding me that these times will not arrive again and that it really does not matter to me if people see ‘garbage’ sitting around.

That is just in 8 days … in the rest of June…

The 14th would have been my wedding anniversary.

This month in 2011 we found out that the experimental drug Dean was trying to stop his cancer from growing had started to work … helped give him an extra year of this life beyond what was predicted by the doctors.

This month is also the start of the amphibian season. This is a photo from last summer of the boys and Dean gathering tadpoles for the garden ponds.

The boys remember this. Since June has hit, they talk about all the things we need to be doing. They planted flowers, they looked out for frogs in the pond, they found the fish nests down at the park. Something that would not have happened without that “extra year”.

Actions touching a chord.

I will be ordained on the 23rd of this month. A journey for Spiritual connectedness and service that Dean totally supported and encouraged.  I know he will be there.

This month is also Dean’s birth month. It will end out the month. He and I will take one final walk. The walk I promised I would take with him on his birthday.

Actions for eternity.

The smiles, the milestones, the memories, phone calls, hugs, simple text messages, taking the ‘time’ for ourselves and others … the tiniest little thoughts all paving our way. Nothing is discounted, ever. Everything creating who we are and helping to shape not only our reality but others as well.

I found this posting earlier today.

This is sometimes a hard choice. I know I need to redirect myself A LOT and remember to choose. The, choice, however is ALWAYS worth it.

🙂 Be Well!
