There are a lot of times that it is certain lyrics that strike me for the day, or ones that I would like to convey. This time it is the entire piece.

There is something about this story starting in the evening — in the beauty of the moon. A crescent moon. A moon that is growing and changing.

There is something about the birds calling in the morning. A song that allows for a new day, a new beginning.

There is something about moving from the “earthly” night to the LIGHT. A light in which it is possible for the energy of the heart and LOVE to move the stones.

Love to be sure in all things — to be shared in the “earthly” part of our existence and the “spiritual” part of our existence.

The “lamps” the Light calling home. Always. And yet in each and every breath. In each and every “earthly” night we are capable of feeling, learning and loving. In fact there is no other way while we are here, until we are Home.

Sometimes it is hard to reconcile our nights and our days. It is hard reconcile what we know to be a part of our soul with what is going on in our every day very “earthly” lives. It is hard to remember that both the Sun and the Moon are indeed a apart of our personal realms of existence.

There is a meditation that I frequently use in the middle of QiQOng classes in which we envision both the sun and the moon energies blending and then also blending with us. We become whole, well, and much more a part of our existance when we remember that we are a blend of all around us and are willing to take the best of what is around us and create the best possible belend for us, our walk and our understanding. Blending the ‘opposites’. Blending the ‘past’ with our very unique ‘present’. Blending our own often ‘voiceless song’ in the Light that is always there for our upliftment. Finding love, knowing solace and eventually encompassing peace.

Lyrics to the Mystic’s Dream
A clouded dream on an earthly night
Hangs upon the crescent moon
A voiceless song in an ageless light
Sings at the coming dawn
Birds in flight are calling there
Where the heart moves the stones
It’s there that my heart is longing for
All for the love of you

A painting hangs on an ivy wall
Nestled in the emerald moss
The eyes declare a truce of trust
And then it draws me far away
Where deep in the desert twilight
Sand melts in pools of the sky
When darkness lays her crimson cloak
Your lamps will call, call me home.

And so it’s there my homage’s due
Clutched by the still of the night
And now I feel, feel you move
Every breath is full
So it’s there my homage’s due
Clutched by the still of the night
Even the distance feels so near
All for the love of you.

A clouded dream on an earthly night
Hangs upon the crescent moon
A voiceless song in an ageless light
Sings at the coming dawn
Birds in flight are calling there
Where the heart moves the stones
It’s there that my heart is longing for
All for the love of you.
