“To be grateful is to recognize the love of God in everything He has given us….He has given us everything. Every breath we draw is a gift of His love, every moment of existence is a grace, for it brings with it immense grace from Him.” – Thomas Merton

EVERY MOMENT OF EXISTENCE IS A GRACE

This is the time of year many wait for to start something new, or do something better than before. This is the time of year people think about their life, where it is going and personal goals. It is a time of year where there is a lot of remembering what came before and what will come.

EVERY BREATH IS A GIFT OF LOVE

Each and every moment of our existence is amazing and wonderful. To be connected with the moment, whatever it has in store brings about the realization that we are always surrounded, loved and guided by a beacon of love implanted in our very essence on the day of creation.

EVERY MOMENT OF EXISTENCE IS A GRACE

Wow, that is such a hard one sometimes. I have had some incredibly beautiful moments this past year. I have had some really hard moments this year. Understanding that they are ALL moments filled with grace … well, allows me to react differently than I did before I understood this.

GOD IS IN EVERYTHING THAT HE HAS GIVEN US

That wonderful gift of free will. The gift of discernment. The ability to choose ones actions, reactions and the ability to forgive, ask for forgiveness and be grateful. We choose how to react, not react, heal or not be healed from events that take place in our lives. We choose the way we allow LOVE and GRACE to fill us.

This season of review and renewal I am GRATEFUL. For every single moment. The big ones and the small ones. The Ones that initiated so much joy and the ones that caused contemplation and redirection. I thought about listing them, and found that the listing would take up 4 blogs all on its own. There are so many people, so many little events —

Just for Today I am grateful for grown sons who took time to watch a movie and share a meal with their mother. I am grateful for the six year old screaming and crying, grateful for a 7 year old who lied under the bed for almost an hour talking to a rescue kitty and trying to make her feel at home. I am grateful for this computer connection and for the texts from friends today to just say HI. I am grateful for my parents who I never saw today but know that it does not matter if I call every day, they are still there. I am grateful for the cold that reminded me of the heat I have in my home and for the incredibly messy desk reminding me that I have work. I am grateful for the kids show that talked about how a little one felt when his pet bug died and how his little friends didn’t make fun of him for what he was feeling, and instead helped him in the ways they knew best … and the conversation that my children were able to have after the show. I am grateful for the connection I feel each and every time I sit with Spirit. With ALL of the children off school and around a lot more for the holidays, my sitting time is off. Yet, remembering, offering thanks, being grateful allows that alignment with all that is Spirit to come back into focus. One tiny little thought, one tiny little breath to remember and feel that we are all connected.

I am grateful for the healing I received this year in many forms and for those I have been blessed to share healing with.

I acknowledge the Great Unseen Healing Force and ask for this Light to work with me in removing all obstructions from my mind and body, restoring me to perfect health. I ask the Light of the Universe to brighten the way for both present and absent ones who are in need of help. I understand that Divine knows what we need, when we need it and we need only ask and do our part. I am grateful for this knowledge and intercession. I have trust in the love and power of God.

I am also grateful for the the many, may people that have shared themselves with me this year. Their stories, their struggles, their joys, their time. There is great beauty in the stories of the many all being joined in the One.

TO BE GRATEFUL IS TO RECOGNIZE THE LOVE OF GOD IN EVERYTHING…
