I watch and listen to my youngest children have fun, blurt out truths and be exactly who they are. They don’t wonder if someone will accept them or not for what they are doing and saying. They just ARE. They ask questions when they don’t understand and feel no shame in the not knowing, they make incredible observations often voicing what many would be afraid to utter, and have very little in the way of inhibitions. They make no apologies for who they are and because they are so young they are smiled at for asking for the piece of cake with the extra frosting. I give myself permission to experience who I really am in the same way my children do,…. and to acknowledge that I would like the extra frosting piece as well — oh, and taking crazy selfies with my children is a lot of fun. Blessings!
